Montessori and Digital Activities

Digital activities have **never** been the preference of the Montessori Method of teaching. Instead, this method has always focused on enhancing the natural abilities to touch, observe, and feel concrete, three-dimensional objects. However, with extensive digitalisation in today's age, children can be introduced to digital activities **to some extent**. Amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, there has often been no other way of teaching young children, since physical classes became difficult to hold. Even so, parents and teachers should understand that **digital teaching and learning are not integral** to the Montessori Method. They should be deployed only as a **supplementary** learning approach.
