Mathematics — A Universal Language

Mathematics is a universal language. Whether the child grows up to be an engineer, a chef, a musician, or a farmer, mathematical thinking will support every decision they make — from estimating distances to managing money to following a recipe. In Montessori, maths is never separated from real life. The child learns numbers by counting beads they can hold, weights they can lift, and quantities they can pour. The abstract symbol comes **last** — never first.
